Solution Approach
Define Audience Goals
- Staying Up To Date
The latest news, crisis communications and upcoming events - Gathering Multimedia Assets
Photos/videos of leadership, products or events; logos and supplemental b-roll - Talking to Someone

Competitive Analysis
Looking at brands that go above and beyond content mandatories to provide a useful experience and making recommendations based off best-in class practices and user goals.
- Gather Multimedia Assets Easily
Supplemental media beyond just photos for download; in context - Feature Related Content
Presents 1-click related content from the brand (and beyond) - Effective Search and Filtering
Comprehensive search that helps filter by content and subject - Promote What's Trending/Popular
Highlighting the most popular content to aid discovery - Incorporate Brand Look and Feel

Relevant for Allstate, but not common across corporate newsrooms
Sitemap
Partnering with a content strategist, we formulated a sitemap that provided a intuitive information architecture. A well-structured sitemap for a digital newsroom should prioritize clear navigation, intuitive information architecture, and easy access to key content, such as press releases, media kits, and contact information.
Wireframes
Landing Page
By creating a clear information hierarchy, I ensured that users could quickly find what they needed. I organized content into easily scannable sections, aligning the page structure with the global navigation.
Search and Article Detail Pages
The search is predictive and supported by added filter functionality. Articles are clearly presented and easy to scan. Information for the media contact is elevated to the top of the page and pull quotes are extracted from the article for journalists to quickly reference.
Design Comps
The well-defined wireframes I created streamlined the design process, allowing the graphic designer to focus on enhancing the visual appeal without compromising on functionality.
